A Bible In Little Hands
Inspire Bible for Kids - Review & Giveaway
There’s something beautiful about watching a child open a Bible.
If we’re honest, sometimes understanding God’s Word can be challenging even for us as adults. So imagine being a child trying to piece together these big, holy, beautiful stories for the very first time.
That’s what I appreciate so much about this Bible.
As I flipped through the pages, I noticed little devotion pop-outs woven right into the stories. Not random extras — but thoughtful moments that pause and say, “Let’s talk about this.”
For example, in the story of Samuel, it doesn’t just tell you what happened. It gently breaks down what his story means… and then it asks questions.
Questions that invite a child to think.
Questions that help them see themselves in the story.
Questions that move Scripture from “something that happened back then” to “what does this mean for me?”
And that’s what it’s all about.
Not just reading the Bible.
Not just knowing the story.
But learning how to live it.
That’s when the Word comes alive.
That’s when it becomes more than ink on a page.
That’s when it begins to shape a heart.
Having walked with the Lord since I was 9 years old, I can tell you — it wasn’t always easy to understand Scripture at that age. One of the biggest questions is simply… where do you even begin? And if we’re being honest, sometimes the stories don’t fully make sense yet.
That’s why I love the new Inspire Bible for Kids.

It’s filled with beautiful illustrations that kids can color right alongside Scripture. But it’s more than just artwork. It includes 300+ devotionals with trivia questions that help young readers connect God’s Word to real life understanding.
And that’s the key.
When a child begins to connect real life to the Word of God, something shifts. Scripture stops feeling like it’s just words inside a book and starts becoming personal. It becomes something they turn to as a foundation — not just when they feel like it, but because it anchors them.
It reminds me of when my kids were little.
The very first Scripture I taught them at two years old was, “I can do all things through Jesus who makes me strong!” And then we’d flex our little muscles and make loud noises showing how strong we were.
It comes from Philippians 4:13 — “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.”
Why did I start there?
Because I wanted them to know, at that tiny age, that there wasn’t anything they would face in this life that they had to face alone. That with God by their side, they were stronger than they realized.
That’s what planting the Word early does.
It gives them language for courage before they even know they’ll need it.
It gives them truth to stand on before the world starts telling them who they are.
And that’s exactly why a Bible like this matters.
There are journaling prompts for the ones who love to write (that would have been me to a T), memory verse prompts to help hide the Word in their hearts, and fun facts woven throughout that make learning feel natural.
My oldest grandchild has a Bible similar to this, and I’m blown away that every time we talk, he can tell you Bible story after Bible story straight from Scripture. That doesn’t happen by accident. That happens when the Word becomes alive to them.
Mama.
Grandma.
Auntie.
Uncle. Brother. Sister.
If you have younger children in your home or family, this is such a beautiful reminder that the same Abba Father who has carried you through this life is the very One who will carry them too.
And I can’t think of a better place to begin than helping them fall in love with His Word early.
Now for the fun part…
